Vor gut einem Jahr wurde das Laser Zentrum Nord in die Fraunhofer Gesellschaft integriert und ist jetzt die Fraunhofer-Einrichtung für Additive Produktionstechnologien IAPT. In der Einrichtung wird industrienah über Forschungsprojekte daran gearbeitet, die Additive Fertigung reif für die industrielle Anwendung zu machen.
